One year!
It has been a busy two weeks since we returned from the Sunshine coast. I have been plagued with an angry (sore) leg and John has had surgery to replace his pacemaker battery. The recovery from his surgery took a few days...probably more of a response to the sedatives than to the actual physical invasion. As a result neither of us has resumed our usual activities of visiting the gym and walking around town. We have been lazy!!
On the bright side of life...I have finished a painting for our son to hang in his office. It is one of those pieces that includes images from his life and would not be treasured by anyone other than him. I am hesitant to post a photo of this one because it is personal.
Exactly one year ago!

Simplicity
Before I knew it...I had driven miles past the turnoff to a restaurant where I was meeting a friend for lunch. My mind was sifting through memories of "simplicity"...instances when less was more. Luckily there had been no accidents or roadside incidents during my mental drifting!

Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre
On our last day in Gibsons we decided to visit the Nicholas Sonntag Marine Education Centre, located inside the Gibsons Public Market.
All of the creatures that we viewed were taken from the waters around the Sunshine Coast and were scheduled to be returned to the waters the following day with assistance from children & volunteers.
It is a fascinating place to visit. We were amazed at the diversity of beautiful and unusual creatures that we had never seen before.
