Lake Country's Artwalk

This morning we drove to Lake Country, between Vernon and Kelowna, to check out their 20th annual Artwalk. It was a huge exhibition of local artists from the Okanagan/Shuswap area. There were over 150 individual artists and a dozen galleries represented...every genre and every style.

The paintings, fibres, ceramics, sculptures and music spilled outdoors on the grassy areas of the school and into the courtyard of the Memorial Hall. It was vibrant and exciting!

It was great to visit the booths of some Salmon Arm artists including Freda Martin, Sherry Kalloch, Val Rogers. Also exciting to see Courtyard Gallery from Enderby with examples of work from Dawn Scott, Tatianna O'Donnell, Ruth Swenor and Gwen Martiniuk. Bravo everyone!!

Later in the day, before dinner we enjoyed a gorgeous evening walk just before the sun disappeared behind the hills.
