Outdoor Painting challenge

Opus Art Supplies hosted an Outdoor Painting challenge in several communities today. There was no cost for participants and we each received an 8"x10" canvas board, a map of the designated area and a pin that indicated we didn't mind if photos were taken. So, I joined about 200 other participants in Langley in the quest to create a small image before 3:00pm.

Artists ranged in age from 5-85 years of age and used a variety of media...watercolour, oils, pastels, ink, coloured pencils and even a glue gun to adhere found objects onto the canvas board.

I chose to do a simple collage with a painted background

At 4:00pm Opus employees drew for prizes. The lucky winners (of course I was not in that group) took away valuable art supplies and gift cards from Opus. The prizes were amazing!
