Another trip to UBC

Today was another one of those days that was punctuated by medical appointments. This morning we drove to UBC Hospital for a CT scan on John's shoulder which is chronically dislocated. John would like to have a surgical replacement of the shoulder joint but we are waiting for an opinion from an Orthopedic surgeon.

We parked near Thunderbird stadium and gazed up at this amazing metal bird.

UBC occupies 420 acres of land and is home to over 60,000 students
as well as 16,000 faculty and staff.
It feels like a city within a city!

On our return trip we drove past John's childhood house on West 16th Avenue.

The peeling paint is evidence that the house has not been repainted for many years!
