Yarn-Bombing

We met at the downtown parking lot for our weekly walk
and were greeted with a colourful display.
Knitted and woven items were draped on the fountain,
from trees, around benches and over stanchions.

We learned later that it was "International Knit in Public Day".
The downtown area had been "Yarn-Bombed".

A group of knitters and weavers gathered during the morning
with their balls of yarn and bags of fleece to work on more creations.
Woven question marks hung outside the windows of Pharmasave.
A monkey grinned from the base of the clock!

Life in Salmon Arm is full of creative surprises.
Music, art, theatre, dance, cinema, writing...we have it all!
